Volume pressure is reshaping manufacturing across space, aviation, and defense. Programs that once ran at low pace now need to onboard new operators, hold traceability across every serial number, and cut cycle time, all without loosening the controls that aerospace-grade production demands. Every manufacturer scaling right now runs into the same three questions.
Aero-Mag‘s Mike Richardson put those questions to Jeremy Perrin, CEO of Connektica, in a feature interview on how the company helps high-tech manufacturers scale assembly, integration, and test (AIT) without trading away quality or compliance.

That number is the case for automating AIT in the first place. If testing already eats most of the production timeline, it is also where the largest block of manual hours sits, and where transcription errors carry the highest cost. Automating instrument control and data capture does not just save time. It removes the step where a single miskeyed reading turns into a non-conformance investigation.
Compliance moves at the same pace. Perrin told Aero-Mag that Connektica’s compliance module generates End Item Data Packages and other regulatory reports in minutes rather than days, a difference that matters most when it counts: if an anomaly turns up on a satellite already in orbit, the manufacturer needs the full as-built record, every test result and every component serial number, on demand, not after a week of file retrieval.
Perrin was direct about where Connektica draws the line against larger MES vendors. Connektica targets SMEs and mid-market manufacturers who need a system that deploys fast and stays cheap to maintain. Bigger platforms may ship more features, but every added feature is a longer deployment. Connektica’s native support for EN9100/AS9100 and its ISO 27001 certification are built to lower the compliance lift for exactly that segment, rather than to compete on feature count.
